Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth

On April 23, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order to integrate AI education into all K-12 schools across the U.S. The initiative promotes AI literacy, teacher training, and public-private partnerships to prepare students for an AI-powered future.
Over 250 CEOs — including leaders from Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, and Zoom — signed an open letter calling for mandatory computer science and AI education for K-12 students. They warn that without early tech training, American youth risk falling behind in an AI-driven global economy.
White House Launches National AI Education Plan. On April 23, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order to expand AI education across the U.S., aiming to build an AI-ready workforce. The plan includes early AI exposure in K–12, teacher training, a national student AI challenge, and partnerships with industry and academia.
